Previous Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has supported Steven Gerrard to become a future first-team manager at the club.
Following retirement Gerrard started his training profession at the Reds’ foundation in February and this season has assumed responsibility of the under-18s side, additionally driving an under-19s group in the UEFA Youth League.
Alonso, who just retired recently, believes this is the beginning for his previous partner.
